SUMMARY:Suryadatta National School Organises Experiential Field Trip on Traditional Paddy Plantation
DESCRIPTION:Suryadatta National School Organises Experiential Field Trip on Traditional Paddy Plantation\nReinforcing its commitment to experiential learning and holistic education\, Suryadatta National School organised an educational field trip for students of Classes VI to X to a farm at Somatne Phata\, Pune. The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to experience the traditional process of paddy plantation first-hand. \nWith the theme “From Classroom to Farm – Learning Through Experience\,” the initiative aimed to bridge classroom learning with real-life experiences. Students observed various stages of paddy cultivation and actively participated in the plantation process under the guidance of experienced farmers and teachers. \nThe field visit helped students understand the importance of agriculture\, the vital role of farmers in India’s economy\, and the significance of sustainable farming practices. It also created awareness about environmental conservation\, food production\, and the strong connection between nature and human life. \nSpeaking on the occasion\, Mrs Snehal Navalakha\, Associate Vice President\, Suryadatta Education Foundation\, said that experiential learning activities encourage curiosity\, environmental consciousness\, practical knowledge\, and empathy among students. She added that such initiatives align with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020\, which emphasises learning beyond the classroom through hands-on experiences. \nMore than 60 students and four teachers enthusiastically participated in the field trip. Despite the monsoon weather\, students enjoyed working in the fields\, experienced traditional farming practices\, and gained valuable life lessons while connecting with nature. \nGuided by the educational philosophy of Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya and Mrs. Sushama S. Chordiya\, Suryadatta National School continues to nurture responsible\, environmentally conscious\, and socially aware citizens by providing quality education that extends beyond textbooks and empowers students through meaningful real-world experiences.
